The Joynt Window.

This window depicts Jesus resurrected. The bottom section of the window shows Mary Magdalene and the other Mary outside the tomb of Jesus with the Angel of the Lord.“He is not dead, He is risen” the angel tells them. The two Marys believed what they were told. Jesus was alive! They hurried away to tell his disciples the good news.

The top section of the window depicts the risen Jesus, (as detailed in the Book of Revelation, Chapter 1 verses 12 to 16), standing in glory. He is dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet with a golden sash round his chest. His head and hair are as white as snow, and his eyes are like blazing fire. His feet are like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice is like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he holds seven stars, and out of his mouth comes a sharp double-edged sword. His face is like the sun shining in all its brilliance. Around his feet are seven lamp stands. These are representations of the angels of the seven churches, and the seven churches. In his left hand he holds the keys of death and Hades. Jesus says “I am he that liveth and was dead” (Revelation 1 verse 18)
